Army knows Jung Kook has “arrived.” But I wrote this in November 2023 while recuperating from Jung Kook’s Apple Interview, his surprise Times Square performance, and the release of the BTS: Yet to Come release on Amazon Prime Video.
This happened all in one day. Bam! Boom! Bang!
Is this how it will be while they are in the military? I gasped at the thought.
With Jung Kook’s album Golden going like gangbusters, I’m not going to review it specifically. I will say that I love the flavor and the tip-of-the-hat homage to Michael Jackson. As someone who grew up listening to MJ, I appreciate Jung Kook’s precise positioning, stating he’s a student of the game and that he knows sensei MJ cleared the path.
I thought this was the worst time for me to become a fan because of their absence due to service. But now I realize I’m pretty lucky to become a fan now. They’ve left so much content, and I can dig into it. Army has generously archived everything with the deftness of the Library of Congress. So, BTS content has become my friend, as I do Peloton. They make it bearable because I hate riding that bike so much. While they’re serving in the military, I’ll have the time to catch up and maybe even start to like to exercise.
